Which wine?

Generally wines with a high tannin content will react unfavourable with meats that are cooked pink - Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are typical of this unless the wine is very well aged - then we could be talking of high priced wines.
Try red wines made with Malbec grapes some of these are referred to as "The black wine of Cahors." They match quite a wide range of foods - experimentation is the name of the game. you will probably have to look in Waitrose or Majestic Wines. Good luck.

Penfolds have just released their latest Grange Hermitage, one of the great wines of the world,go`s well with venison too @ around $600 a bottle for the new release.
