Will this be the new norm?

When that happens though its not your problem anymore ๐Ÿคฃ
100%

Where as if you just keep the slow and steady approach, little and often you keep plodding on.

Took this approach on my red deer bit years ago, 2 times a week shoot no deer, once a week odd unlucky straggler, once every 2-3 weeks kill multiple deer every time

Timโ€™s pics from my larder whilst on my last ban tells a story and no Night licence RQD

That makes perfect sense ๐Ÿ‘ Opposite way for me ...first "proper" bit of ground 20 odd years ago and they were having lambs killed all over the place...shot pretty well everything I saw and it stopped. Eased up on them and off it went again the next year so anything I get a chance on I shoot ๐Ÿ‘

Makes a difference that I was in a position to risk it as they were our own flock. No way someone doing pest control on a perm can risk leaving them if the landowner has asked them to sort it

Makes a big difference when you are the organ grinder...though I am used to being the Monkey lol

I shoot the foxes hard at home for a couple of reasons...they set the dog off, the dog rolls in their crap and we have curlews not far from us ๐Ÿ‘ Though I love seeing the foxes as well as they are such bright, interesting creatures. Saw one a couple of weeks ago walk straight past the house about 4 feet away whilst I was washing up :)

Imagine how many you would shoot on a night licence just going out every fortnight and hammering them.

Truth is deerstalkers want plenty deer on their ground as they enjoy shooting/ stalking them.

What would you do if you shot them all ?

Very true mate...everything in balance (hence the problem in some areas) . Saw my first deer within about 50 feet of my top ground last year..little roe buck....I will be leaving him well alone but doubt others will exercise the same restraint if he is spotted.

Iโ€™m not that stupid or desperate to pull the trigger, Iโ€™ve more than killed my quota over the years, those who are more desperate can go do the donkey work

Exactly you have shot enough, just remember how keen you were back then.

There will be plenty keen stalkers out there now to replace you....

Iโ€™m seeing that on some bits already, not shot by me but areas Iโ€™ve given away, you can only kill them once, like I said you can keep drinking eventually youโ€™ll find the bottom of the bottle

You will never shoot them all .....especially down South with the high density.

Nobody compares to Timmy the assassin ๐Ÿ”ซ
Agreed ...if there were 10 Timmys in the UK with such amazing prowess we wouldnt need night licences ๐Ÿ‘ I was going to get a "I love Timmy " T Shirt but alas I have to stick with my "I own a Creedmoor and everyone hates me" ๐Ÿ˜ญ:lol::lol:

Too right ....just let Timmy loose on all those estates down South crawling with fallow and he will have them sorted in a weekend ๐Ÿ‘

Wouldnt take him that long mate...would be sorted in a couple of hours...400 deer on the deer cart and gralloched in 30 seconds....shame we cant all be that amazing. I may try getting a .270 and see if that transforms me...but think the Creed has done its damage... I wonder if we need to start a "We love Timmy" fan club ....cant beat that warm fuzzy feeling when I see another Write up...just makes my day ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿ’‹ ๐Ÿ’‹

A 270 would do you wonders! ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜˜

We aren't worthy of a .270
As mentioned above I did have one...moved from .223 to .270...shot a load of Sika with it but just didnt like the "chambering" (cant call it calibre)

Probably being a wet lettuce meant it was to manly for me. Some day when I grow up I may go 7 x 57 ...but need more hair on my chest and surgery below the waste to make me worthy :lol:
