for a ATV (can am ) for lifting red deer into the back please ?

If you have any chance of making it work then a trailer is so much better behind the quad than trying to get them onto the racks. Safer on those steep Devon hills and doesn't get you or the quad covered in muck and blood etc.

One of the towbar mounted systems that people use for suspended grallough on pickups would be the easiest you could have a towbar front and back to enable use front and back.

what I would say is ditch the shitty wire and replace with Dyneema
The wire binds up and is a PITA!
