Write ups forum - really slow

Is it just because this part of the site is very photo heavy that it's very slow to load? Seems to take 3-4x as long as clicking on other forums (and sometimes even just hangs)?

I also noticed attaching / inserting images to normal posts very slow.

I would say all commands all met with varying degrees of speed but it does always get there in the end. Sometimes it is instant, other times it can hang for over 10 secs before finding the thread properly. It is site related and not my connection as all other websites work and my speed test shows nothing out of the ordinary. The site was doing this a few months ago and it seems is playing up again.

I am on Chrome and all updates are checked and installed.

I would say it’s a combination of phone/PC speed, your internet connection speed and the server speed. So yes, it might take seconds extra if it’s got a lot of images but the reasons are multiple. On my PC it’s negligible.

I’ve tried changing some settings yesterday, let’s see if it’s any better. We are looking at changing servers, probably in the new year, though.

For some reason write-ups is really slow for me. Noticeably different from any other of the forums and consistently so.

Fast fibre broadband this end and no issues other parts of the forum.
