Hi Marc,

Kudos for poking you head out of the trench. Visibility is the only way to improve customer service so well done on that.

Now if you have a V8 that you need field evaluated for several years just let me know ;)

Closing the Zeiss Pro stalker programme I would have thought is not a wise move. This was one way to get direct to customers thinking of buying Zeiss products and seeing them in use in the field.

Marc,

I am not sure your comment re the 56 mm Diavari is correct. I have fitted a 50mm Leupold sunshade to my Zeiss and it fits ok, however the outside dia is smaller so slightly restricts the light coming in, not what you want on probably one of the best low light scopes ever made.

Please could you contact the Hendersolt supplier and then post on here availability and cost of sunshades for the 56 and 50mm please.

D

Hi Cyres,

It was me (Garymh) who posted about the sunshade - not Marc.

I did say in my post that many (i.e not all) Diavari 'scopes do not have a threaded ring.

Hi Marc and welcome to the SD forum,

I love zeiss glass but I can't reach the top of the range stuff or the new uk supported models, but I do have the conquest range here at home and find it very disappointing that the uk side of Zeiss will not help when we have issues, let's face it, it can't be doing the company name any harm when someone sees your name on a rifle scope irrespective if it's a terra or a conquest model,

I feel it will have an effect in the future as and when wemhave a problem with your conquest that you can't get fixed because it's not supported in the uk but bares your name, your once trusted user may well shop with other scope manufacturing companies that support all their scopes weather purchased here or elsewhere,

bob.

i take it no reply means, that Zeiss UK will still not support the conquest range ?

very sad, after all when my ford broke down in Berlin last year I went to a ford garage and even when my car was from the UK they still fixed it,?

Hi malc
Just a quick one but with respect and in fairness to all other that you have jumped upon, how come you are not giving this gentleman a sturn warning regarding no trade membership as he is advertising a product that he has a business interest in haha !!

First chance I got after a paid stalk with a Zeiss pro stalker, I ordered a Duralyt.... I'm sure others must have done the same.

To be fair, Bob, what do you think would have happened if you'd been driving a US-spec Ford?

As I understand it most of the issues over warranty with the Conquest range is that they were built for the US market and not initially released into Europe.

After managing to get some PPI back from when i was a silly nipper, i hid a good lump away for when i needed a scope, needless to say I went to a shop, had a good look through all the optics within my price range and picked a brand new Zeiss. The other stalkers in the shop swore by them, used only twice in anger, 1 x fox and 1 x Roe buck, both down and dusted. Love mine and would gladly buy another as long as the finance manager in the house doesn't find out the cost.:scared:

Just a wee mix up Leej , i was talking to Marc yesterday about a friend of mine who uses S&B scopes , he,s got his wires crossed:cool:
