Two things spring to mind - weight and the requirement of high rings and the consequential comb height affects. Will be very good optics and good tracking.

what exactly are you using it for? for stalking i would say it is way too much, for targets yep go for it

I just wondered if any members used one and wanted to know their views on them

I would go for the 56. It isn't as bad for all round shooting. The 72 is a beast more suited to target shooting or
shooting sat up from a postion. Or if you do alot of foxing from truck etc

I have used one.

Obviously it needs higher than usual mounts, light transmission is extremely good.

Can't say it was a huge difference over the 56 but, it was very good.

For me it was just too much scope for a stalking rifle, I imagine if you do a lot of fox or Boar shooting under moonlight from static positions it's an awesome tool.

If you can get one cheap enough, certainly worth trying.

Among other scopes I also have the 56mm version and was just interested in others views on the 72mm
i know its a big scope but its main use would be cwd sex identification at last light
I have half made my mind up but input from other users of this scope is appreciated
Regards Andy
