I recently bought an Alpex 4K from NickJ on here and having never read the instruction manual I set about zeroing the 22-250 with it yesterday. What a doddle!
The 30mm tube meant I could keep the existing Sako Optilock mounts. So quickly threw it on and sent a round down range at 100 yards with an old mud wall behind (brick pit) . It missed the A3 sized target completely! I downloaded the phone app, linked it to my iPhone. Next step was bolt out, bore sighted onto the target whilst mirroring the display so my little brother could watch my phone and direct me. Looked ok so sent another round down range. On paper! Went into the zero setting and took a moment to navigate but made some adjustments. Fired. Half way closer to the bull! My brother told me that whilst I adjust the aim the old crosshair stays marked on the screen, taking the guess work out of it. Put the old cross hair on the bull and scrolled the new crosshair on to the POI. Moved up to the top bull. Dead centre. A couple more quickly rattled off to confirm and then away we go.
