So,am i getting that the OP posted a peacock and a bronze/silver/gold(delete as applicable) roe head on the assumption that Alba would get to keep the peacock plus a monetary sum to mount the head?
Alba then informs the OP by email that the peacock is plum so the deal is off and lets make a new one?
Then the OP instead of dealing by phone or website cries on SD,even omitting that the peacock that was plum was mentioned in a reply from Alba who was perhaps waiting for a reply on a new offer?
In this time the beast has matured from a bronze to a gold?

Have i got it totally wrong or is it a bingo?
