Allopurinol is usually okay but can be quite rough for some individuals, especially when you start taking it. The person you need to talk to is your GP who will be able to give you the advice that is correct for you.

I did get this stuff from the GP, under protest I might add, just wondered if anyone else had the difficulties under start up?

I know it's a pain in the a*se getting an appointment but you will get better advice at a surgery than a forum!

Just after a base of info regards the intro to this stuff, from real users.
So, if you take it whilst actually having an attack of Gout, its likely to make you feel worse.
However once its under control, it will make life very different.
