30-06 is a very good allround calibre and with the correct load/bullet suitable for just about anything that walks save for truly big dangerous game. Also flat shooting so you can reach out to 300 yards for open plain and mountain hunting.
243 with 85 to 100gn bullets good on Roe and bigger Deer, 6.5x55, again flat shooting with light bullets, but take a heavier bullet for bigger game. 25-06 is v good open ground calibre, but too fast imho for closer range stuff.
