Any reasion why I cant import thease from Germany?

I found these in Germany and they will ship but say it's my problem dealing with the UK legislation end

Is there any reason I cant ship these?

How on earth can you insert a .17 bullet into the cavity and ensure it's perfectly central? If it's not slap bang in the middle the centrifugal force of the spin rate will send it all over the place. Wouldn't fancy the consequences if it fell out in the barrel before discharge either. It's got cock-up written all over it!

Normal expanding ammo dosen't expand at sub sonic speeds. A sub sonic through and through shot could result in a slow death which is not acceptable to me.

This does, so looking for a 308 sub sonic with rapid expansion for stealthy fox hunting. Not stealthy for the fox but for the home owners around the farm

If I could head shot a fox every time it wouldn't be and issue but as fox hunters will admit if they are honest its often a front of center mass shot.

I have not had a fox do anything but drop on the spot with a 22/250 which satisfies my personal sensativities, but using my 22/250 even with the T8 mod (which I consider the quietest out there) late at night will most likely get us thrown off the land in the end.

SO experimentation with sub sonic 308 rounds and special heads like this

I might have a problem as they need a minimum twist rate of 1:10 to stabalize and my Tika T3 SS lite 308 is (I believe) 1:11

Also the German importers only stock the needle version which needs a 1:8 min twist rate so it would be a special order.

slightly different but i have used 223rem with 64gr soft point subsonic for a couple of years around built up areas.very quite and affective.cost same as 17hmr but as quiet as 22lr but with more range and energy.not had any luck with subs in the 308.

Hmm, may be worth speaking to DMC Custom Cartridges Home Page. I was with him in the summer and he had developed one for his rifle for close foxes in noise sensitive areas. Can't remember if it was 308 or 30.06 but he would be able to advise.
