Perhaps if you’d stayed, you could have helped with the reforms.Perhaps if the Eu hadn’t been so corrupt we might have voted differently

Perhaps if the majority did any research before voting we'd have had more of a majority either way.Perhaps if the Eu hadn’t been so corrupt we might have voted differently
When our elected MEP’s can’t change anything then I can’t see how we could.Perhaps if you’d stayed, you could have helped with the reforms.
Voting is personal for a reason and it’s democracy! That’s why the Eu can’t be changed as it’s undemocraticPerhaps if the majority did any research before voting we'd have had more of a majority either way.
I genuinely heard two people discussing why they voted one to leave and one to remain and it came down to one wanting to keep free roaming charges when they went on holiday and one wanted to be able to buy whatever shaped fruit and veg they could![]()
Although we could vote directly for out MEP yet we have the House of Lords who none of us voted forVoting is personal for a reason and it’s democracy! That’s why the Eu can’t be changed as it’s undemocratic
Who can amend laws unlike MEP’s who can only rubber stamp laws!Although we could vote directly for out MEP yet we have the House of Lords who none of us voted for![]()
I’m still inside the tent and have a say, you’re outside and have none, but you still live in the neighbourhood and share the amenities. When our elected MEP’s can’t change anything then I can’t see how we could.
That’s the sort of argument that the Tory party wants to use when the fed up of being lied to have deserted them!
I’m not waiting hundreds of years for a corrupt club to change its rules!
It’s a broken idea run by crooks for their own benefit!
You could always emigrate and change it yourself then let us know how you got on?
I was making a point about the House Aof Lords not being democratic as they weren't elected and yet have more power over out daily lives than those MEPs who we did elect.Who can amend laws unlike MEP’s who can only rubber stamp laws!
The EU is a protectionist bloc with a sharply declining share of world GDP. The UK recently overtook France as the world's fourth largest exporter.I’m still inside the tent and have a say, you’re outside and have none, but you still live in the neighbourhood and share the amenities.
True, your elected MEP’ s couldn’t change club rules all on their own whenever it suited you, but no single nation can, you made no attempt to recruit a consensus or negotiate.
You tried to dictate terms.
You are now getting slowly boiled in a pot of your own **** and of your own devising.
The E U doesn’t have to do anything but wait, you’ve cocked up royally as a nation, you didn’t get what you wanted with Brexit and you’ll still have to comply with Eu regulations and directives but now you have no voice in the decision making process.
You are spending far more than you need to on taxes and excise, with your largest trading partners and you no longer have the right to free travel and residence with your closest neighbours, (except us).
The EU is quite happy to see you flounder, your companies and business have to deal with it and cover the increased costs, the rest of the EU can choose whether the extra cost and inconvenience of dealing with you is worth it, you guys really have no choice.
Regardless of whether BREXIT represents a win or a loss for the uk, theres one thing you can’t deny, your exit negotiations were an absolute shambles. You were forced to accept whatever terms the EU offered and swallow it down like a lamb with a bottle, all the EU had to do was sit there and stare.
If this is a win, I’d hate to see how bad things get before you admit a loss.
The Irish, of course, didn't even have a negotiation after their own vote against the EU. They were simply told to do it again and get the "right" answer, and their leaders meekly complied:You were forced to accept whatever terms the EU offered and swallow it down like a lamb with a bottle, all the EU had to do was sit there and stare.

Well I’m happy, I’d be happier if they kept their illegal immigrants as well!I’m still inside the tent and have a say, you’re outside and have none, but you still live in the neighbourhood and share the amenities.

That says more about our politicians who were happy to do nothing other than accept Eu regulations unless they could show horn in a bit of gold plating for them!I was making a point about the House Aof Lords not being democratic as they weren't elected and yet have more power over out daily lives than those MEPs who we did elect.
The UK has very lazy politicians who just accepted and adopted any EU law that came along without checking if it suited us and choosing to skirt around it like plenty of other EU countries do.
Fat chance of that!Perhaps if you’d stayed, you could have helped with the reforms.
Sadly that’s all too true. The Irish, of course, didn't even have a negotiation after their own vote against the EU. They were simply told to do it again and get the "right" answer, and their leaders meekly complied:

In November 2013, Robert Oulds of the Bruges Group invited me to speak at a conference in London. You’d do even better if you hadn’t put yourself at a serious disadvantage when trading with 400 million of your closest neighbours. The EU is a protectionist bloc with a sharply declining share of world GDP. The UK recently overtook France as the world's fourth largest exporter.

Eu sees us flounder …. hilarious. The EU is a house of cards, unelected and unwanted in lots of cases but most too scared to leave. Hope France and Germany have VERY deep pockets, they will need themI’m still inside the tent and have a say, you’re outside and have none, but you still live in the neighbourhood and share the amenities.
