I've just posted a for sale ad and the posting of photos from a smart phone is so easy. Hopefully it'll make people more likely to include pictures more often as it's now so much easier.

I seem to remember that the previous time there was an upgrade of the site there was a similar stooshie.
Everything settled down and it appears this time round is no exception.

Well change is not always good, but is often for the better. Of course it'll take a little time to get used to it, so my advice is to take that time before condemning things. For eyes that are a little, shall we say, under par, it is easier to read.

No it doesn't on my tablet its Ok until I go to post a reply,then the key pad covers the window and I can't see what I am writing, this never happened in the old version or any other site that I'm on, there may be a simple fix but I have no idea how.

Can't agree I have eye problems due to diabetes, and find the screen to bright , a couple.of minutes looking at it give me a splitting headache.

With respect to why we had to upgrade, here’s my reasons...

It has been nearly 9 years since we last upgraded, and it was starting to look dated. Things were breaking and I had to bodge things to get them to work. Things like YouTube, for example, I just could not get them to work anymore and vBulletin 4 was stuck on MS Internet Explorer 9 which MS weren’t updating. I was stuck using PHP 5.6 which soon to unsupported. The software was unsupported, both vBulletin 4 and Photopost (the Gallery) which closed down. I would have to pay to have someone do fixes, upgrades, legal updates (GDPR) etc.

vBulletin 5 was a basically a reinstall... so I thought I might aswell look at all forum software. VBulletin 5 was nasty, I thought... it was slow, bulky and I just didn’t like it. Xenforo was developed by half the vBulletin 4 guys who left and started there own software. Xenforo was cheaper than vBulletin 5, nice (I thought) to look at, they offered a Gallery as a extra. I looked at some free software, some cheaper, some more expensive... Xenforo was the sensible one to go for.

It has a whole load of things done which make using it easy, image uploading, video, replying, mobile to PC etc... it just takes time to learn how it works.

Looks like the cheap Windows panel layout on laptops & phones I avoid buying. Cheap & tacky. Glad I dont pay! Bottom of screen on old site you could choose web or mobile views etc, this one I can only find a Help Page with no help just not such grown up things like smilies!?

I haven't used every facet of the new set up yet, but those I have seem to operate just fine. like most things initially not well received it can be made to work after a short time of familiarisation.

There should be an Orange box near the top that says Selected, click/tap on that and then you should be given options, including Delete.

After talking to other member's with the same issue I use a different device which has desktop view as an option in the browser itself. No joke I dont get on with or like panel style at all.
It's all personal prefrence.
The help section I fully expected to find a subsection whats new or updates to scroll through for usage changes. Just seemed like a first place to check, instead of waiting for posts to pop up to read through similar issues to find a fix.
