Are there still such things as Working Mens' Clubs?

Yes. And the CIU is still going too. Working Mens Clubs, or in Leeds the Polish Club, used to be one of the few places before pub hours changed to "open all hours" that you could get a drink between 2pm and 5pm.

What a mess. This is what happens when you give morons (us basically) a vote on something so important when we do not fully understand the legal ramifications of leaving. That be the legal and financial heartache attached to such a kneejerk vote result.

So many errors here. Giving us the vote was an error. Not furnishing everyone with full facts pre vote was a massive error.

It is like a merry go round that you were happy to pay a quid to go on but as you get more dizzy, nobody wants to pay an extra quid to get off. The result is everyone goes green and eventually loses the contents of their gut.

+1 in a nutshell!

Do you really think that ethnic minorities have had it too good for too long? And that is why countries are swinging to the right?

You’ve been led by the nose to believe that every time you open the front door youre going to get mugged by a black jihadi paedofile benefit scrounging Uber driver!

You best board up the windows whilst you’re at it....

Could you point out where i said that please ? Thought not.

I don't mind a certain amount of migration, but like everything else it can go too far, some would say it already has, seeing as in london only 44% of londoners who are white british. Peoples concerns were not heeded, and now you have brexit.

Pandering to every gender or sexual "identity", men who want to be women and women who want to be men and all that rubbish, again hijacked by idealistic lefties who see inequality everywhere and see a new crusade every week.

The problem from the start was May herself, a "remainder" at heart and a middle manager at best. A weak leader who surrounds herself with special advisors who seem to make decisions for her which incidentally usually turn out to be wrong and often bypassing the cabinet itself. Just look at the Checkers plan!

She only became Priminister after Michael Gove pulled the rug out of Borris Johnson campaign. Like him or loath him, I am sure Johnson would have made a much better job of standing up to Brussels than May has done.

She has capitulated to Brussels from the very outset by firstly agreeing to their timetable of negotiations where they insisted on the "divorce" payment being agreed to before they were even willing to discuss anything else. Could you imagine someone like Margaret Thatcher agreeing to that?

The Irish "Hard border" issue, was and is a complete red herring, exaggerated out of all proportion to become a massive hurdle to freeing the UK from the EU, she fell for this hook, line and sinker too. The technology already exists to overcome this. Everything is an issue if you choose to make it one.

I can't see this deal currently being voted through cabinet. Labour will vote against it hoping to force a general election, the DUP will vote against it, Jacobs Rees mogs group will vote against it etc etc.

So much for May's "Brexit means Brexit" and "A bad deal is better than no deal" she is now banking on the fact that a bad deal is better than no deal to the majority of MP's . Now we are being told that it's either this deal, no deal or No Brexit.

I am sure that burried in the text of this deal as it stands, it will be the Eu who eventually decide when we can leave this so called temporary customs union, if May survives she will almost certainly go on to barter away control of the fishing rites in our waters for a start.

The next couple of weeks will be very interesting!

Has anyone checked out Monsewer Macaroon's popularity ratings at home recently??
Thought not...
That's normal in France. There hasn't been a popular head of state since Napoleon. And that wasn't exactly universal either. We always hate the government. But then we reminisce about how we used to like the old president when they're nice and retired. Takes a while though. Sarkozy and Hollande have a stretch of public opinion porridge to serve yet.

Even today I've never met anyone in France who didn't, and doesn't, love Jacques Chirac. I remember being in Paris at the time and my friend calling me out of the shower or me calling her out of the shower, I forget which, to see as Jospin was eliminated in the Presidential election first round. And his speech immediately afterwards ahead of the second vote against the father Le Pen. Everybody seems to have loved Chirac apparently?

Most call CDG by it's name of Roissy. But de Gaulle does have an aircraft carrier named after him. And the roundabout at the top of the Champs d'Elysees that encircles the Arc de Triomphe.

Hey, hey, hang on, in the end, we elected Macron! I mean sure we have loads of far right supporters for the usual reasons and some local ones, but at the Crunch, Macron's party won overwhelmingly. So hey, at least I have one country that's not currently a car crash.

I have read, that macron has the lowest approval rating of any french president, ever, and marine le pen is twice as popular. Macron, ol' grab a granny, and banker appeared out of nowhere and won the french presidency, even though little was known about him, that seems fishy to me.

Well I'll be blowed! May I still procure Luncheon Vouchers and a free Donkey Jacket from County Hall? Worked there for the GLC's Property Services Department back in the late 70's and it was a hell of a lot of fun: Cheep on-site beer an underground rifle range and chicks galore!

Yes, but he's been dead a long time! He was widely reviled in his last presidency. But also, almost dead, so that helped.

OFF!!!!!!!!! There's another one for you Mongrel.
I take it a Sheprador is a mongrel.
Wow...you’re really articulate tonight. And representing SD superbly. Got anything besides insults & thinly veiled threats? I assume you’re ex-forces by your ‘section’ comment? I really respect the armed forces and what they do for us. But you represent them badly imo. If this country has gone down the pan so badly that you’re that bitter, why don’t YOU look for a better place to live? & good luck finding an all white village elsewhere...with a democracy, an nhs & and freedom of speech. Not personal but your comments on this forum make me worry more about our society than any Brexit discussion.

You mean people like Nigel Farage on his £73,000 a year EU pension. Not bad for 18 years of non service to the EU he hates so much

Which of course he could refuse? But guess what, he is going to keep it.

Please tell me who in May's cabinet benefit from an EU pension?

Go back and read what I wrote in 2016 on this. Nothing will change ,we will still have to follow EU rules but we will lose our influence in directing the EU

pretty sure that covers what I wrote 2 years ago

Its obvious. NOT doing it this way would mean both an economic and political disaster
Nigel is hardly credible, and he’s a politician so i would expect he would line his own pocket while preaching his own special politics, ala Kinoch and Blair.
You will not know which have been on the receiving end of euro money until they leave parliament.
Really dont have the time or inclination for reading from 2016, I’m not attacking you i would be more inclined to agree but i dont trust any politician anymore.

Well dear Boy, Chasey has a sense of humour which appears to be sadly lacking in your case. This country has gone down from what it was, but I am not bitter, as your attitude seems to be. I don't need to find anywhere else to live and your "White Village"with perks suggestion, I find extremely personal and racist. I certainly am not and never have been a racist (apart from Pikeys), and have lived and worked with a variety of nationalities. If I make you worry about our society you should meet my Grandsons and Great grandsons, they would really scare you, especially the little ones.:D
