So . . . .

It might be what you thought you voted for, but fortunately very few people agree with you

Many people voted out for many different reasons, but only a tiny minority were willing to destroy the UK just to satisfy their own personal vision of the future

please for the love of god stop being so negative!

if you could at least be a little tiny bit more even handed it would help ?

you do not know for a fact it will destroy the uk , yes it may but equally it may not !

your constant negative attitude is tiring at best , be more positive and upbeat , the die is cast so lets make the best of the situation instead of wailing on about how bad it MIGHT be or COULD be ….....

I cannot speak for greece etc, but ireland is paying back the debt, we have run down hospitals, far fewer police, fewer public services, homeless etc to prove it.

The Greek bailout by the EU was used in part to underwrite arms sales by France and Germany, so those countries had an immediate payback!

France sold over £662 million of military aircraft to Greece at a time when draconian austerity measures were being imposed as part of the EU financial rescue package. Germany supplied other military equipment including a U boat as part of their £336 million arms sales package over the same period.

This is just a snapshot of Greek defence spending from the critical period of the EU bailout and palls into insignificance compared to overall German arms sales to Greece, including £1.6 billion for submarines (100 million euro in bribes) and £1.7 billion for Leopard II tanks (similar amount in bribes).

German citizens implicated in the scandals have been dealt with very leniently within the Fatherland, and requests for extradition to Greece, where penalties would be far more severe, have been blocked.

Austerity Arms Sales to Greece

German Debt Hypocrisy

Greek Arms Bribery

One of the most likely causes of any potential financial collapse. Will be the negative doom and gloom merchants talking us into it.
There will obviously be a knock on effect if there’s a lack of confidence.
Instead of all the so called negatives which as usual have no basis on fact but are speculative.
Why are they not speculating on potential benefits of being independent. Again speculation but potentially less damaging to the economy.

And if anything like England they'll be getting family allowance for children that aren't in the country too, how can that be allowed ? But my point is off topic ''slightly'' so don't get me started...
Yes that was happening but it was worse than that ! Cheap flights meant that even after returning to their home countries a percentage were 'popping 'back to sign on the brew

please for the love of god stop being so negative!

Yep, I'll second that!

And in any case, the biggest plus of all this so far (even if it's all going pear-shaped) is watching that bloody imbecile May start to unravel. I'm thoroughly-enjoying it. I keep expecting her head to actually explode. Does this make me a bad person? :-|

Who to trust or perhaps there is something else going on…

The Bilderberg Group defines itself as “a diverse group of political leaders and experts from industry, finance, academia and the media”. A group of highly influential elitists with far-reaching influence on business, finance and global politics that meet in total privacy. Their opposition to Brexit has been made very clear with funds made available through their connected channels (e.g. Sorros) to support the Remain campaign. Interesting that some of our most vehement remainer politicians and public figures in the UK are members (they call themselves guests) of the Bilderberg Group. They have been accused of creating a new world order, although that’s fairly imaginative they certainly have enormous unelected and undemocratic influence taking away our democratic rights which in effect takes away our nation sovereignty and is replaced by a corporate styled shadow government guaranteed by military support, already a 400 strong armed security team looking after their ‘welfare’.

Not surprisingly here are some of our UK Bilderberg figures (past and present) who are staunch Remainers. There are no Brexiteers.

Tony Blair – ex Prime Minister
Gordon Brown – ex Prime Minister
David Cameron – ex Prime Minister
Kenneth Clarke – politician
Peter Mandelson – politician
George Osborne - politician and once candidate for Conservative leadership
Ed Balls – politician and once candidate for Labour leadership
Amber Rudd – former Home Secretary
Mark Carney – Governor Bank of England
Gideon Rachman – financial journalist
Lord Adonis – Blairite Parliamentarian
Sharon White – Civil servant
Sir John Sawers – ex head of MI6 / diplomat
Sir Nicholas Houghton – ex Chief of Defence Staff
Marcus Agius – former Chair of Barclays Bank

So .. .. ?
TM said at the outset of becoming PM following the 2016 referendum “No deal is better than a bad deal”
Has she deliberately negotiated the crappy deal with the EU that was rejected by the Commons so that this country could walk away with “No deal”?

Hmmmmm!

I'll be convinced by your argument if we do indeed walk

But I'd bet my left nut we go nowhere

Strangely I'd happily donate my left nut if I'm wrong as I no longer need it

I have no idea where you have been hiding, but just about every one, pro Brexit and or anti Brexit, understands a no deel Brexit is a total disaster on several fronts

Why ? Do you have three or more Balls ? Maybe that’s why you’re so eager to have a HARD Brexit - your just desperate to get screwed one last time !
Kindest regards, Olaf

Flat disagree. A no deal option definitely comes with the sharpest adjustment curve and maximum short term disruption. No question. But the Withrawl Bill came with something far more pernicious: Article 50 provided a means by which a sovereign nation could unilaterally exit the EU. The Withdrawl Bill handed that sole prerogative back to the EU.

Even if the rest of the contents of May's deal were tenable (which they are NOT), then that one feature makes a no deal exit infinitely more desirable.

Errrrrr .. .. NO they don’t !
Absolutely NO ONE is able to predict with any certainty what happens economically should we walk away with no deal.
Which incidentally I’m more than happy with.
No deal is just fine by me.
