Hard brexit is what we voted for, no faffing around with deals.

It might be what you thought you voted for, but fortunately very few people agree with you

Many people voted out for many different reasons, but only a tiny minority were willing to destroy the UK just to satisfy their own personal vision of the future

Actually the majority of Brexiteers now favour WTO. Hardly a tiny majority.
It won't happen though. Parliament has conspired to stop it. Congratulations you Blairites have won. And will have no doubt elected Corbyn who really will destroy the country ,as well as all our shooting sports. But hay ho at least you can keep paying into the the EU and put those precious stars on your passport. Just remember when the EU finally falls, empires always fall, we will know who to blame.

I have never worked out why the Irish were so vociferous in their opposition to British rule and so proud to be independence but surrender that same independence while warmly embracing EU rule. Why is that?
Because they have not had to surrender to any rules.
Kindest regards, Olaf

I want out, or at least a return to the eec days. I want to live in a country, not a county of europe.
Your going to be disappointed if you think that could ever happen . You will never be able to live in “ a country, not a country of Europe “ unless you really do get behind your country and wade into the sea and push the Islands into the Atlantic sea

Kindest regards, Olaf

That's great, but can the UK have a great big bail out Grant that never gets paid back the same as Eire, Greece and half the other countries in the EU.
I wonder how it was funded.

Even more fun on the 22 January as Germany is doing a deal.with France for a closer relationship, that's really going to impress the yellow jackets, watch that one explode onto the streets.
The French want out not closer ties didn't anyone tell the president

I cannot speak for greece etc, but ireland is paying back the debt, we have run down hospitals, far fewer police, fewer public services, homeless etc to prove it.

I think you are just being facetious now. I have seen the rich and upper middle classes, eg the chattering classes, who control the press and other media here, in a few cities in ireland get vastly richer. Huge multi million euro houses and fleets of large german cars, while the sweaty lower orders pay 2k a month rent on little more than a 2 bed apartment, and can never hope to buy a house here.

But i really i hope the eu screws ireland with tax this year, as is planned, it might bring people to their senses.

If i had a windfall, i would leave this country so quickly it would make your head spin.

I was amazed when I was there a 10 years ago, there were twice as many eastern Europeans applying for work permits than local people that had just left full time education. The shape of things to come all that time ago.
What a stunning county you have though.

And if anything like England they'll be getting family allowance for children that aren't in the country too, how can that be allowed ? But my point is off topic ''slightly'' so don't get me started...

If you thought that was a negative, perhaps you didn't read the article below the headline.
No, I thought it was a good article, some positive stuff and some negative stuff, hence worth posting. It’s interesting how Portugal is benefiting from the influx of lots of new business that is presently leaving the UK because of Brexit too isn’t it.
