Ok BASC nice but, don’t just write to TVP crime commissioner make a formal complaint via the crime commissioner against the Chief Constable then the complaints process has to followed by the police.
This is not right mandatory means it's the law well the government makes the laws and they have not made this the law
The police are in the wrong to make it the law this should be looked into
Personally I don’t mind paying a small fee for the doctor to release a medical report as it is relevant to safety. However, the fee charged is not standardised.
I see lots of empty cabinetsI keep banging on about this but ..........
The elephant in the room, which is conveniently being ignored by most of the organisations, is that there is no requirement, statutory or otherwise, for any GP to place the ‘enduring marker’ on the medical record to ensure continuing monitoring of the FAC holder, and if anyone believes that the GPs can be compelled to do it, then they need to wake up and rejoin the real world.
So without the marker what is the purpose of the medical evidence scheme as negotiated by the organisations? Nothing more that yet another stick to beat lawful firearms owners, with zero benefit to them and very little for anyone else. It’s shameful.
The police made this law if they ****ing want it they should pay
That's not old-style - that's new-style!What gh hell is wrong with the old style no response from the gp after 21 day's then all goes through
I've got my renewal this year so will be interested to see what happens with your grant.Very appropriately, I had an invoice from my GP practice today of £60, after they had a request for my medical suitability from S Wales police. This is for a grant for a FAC.
Contacted BASC and they told me to ignore it for the present time.
If SWP insisted they needed my med records, I would have to pay the fee.
