Greta just led 500.000 people in a Climate March in Montreal..
So nearly 32 million people in Canada couldn’t be arsed to attend. Take out the naive and the stupid, and you have not got a convincing representation.

Tell you what, I have read so many interesting, constructive (and some destructive) posts on this site, that I think between us, we could run the country! We have right, left, middle of the roaders and some of uncertain denomination, SD is already a bit like parliament. So what do you think, a new SD party at the next election?

All I'm asking for is some decent debate. Waving your finger at me and telling me how dare you is no argument in any kind of debate. I'm not debating overpopulation, I'm not debating damage to environments by plastics, loss of habitat, etc. I am simple debating that spending trillions of dollars on natural phenomenon that has been occurring for a millennia is a wise use of taxpayers dollars based on virtual signalling teenagers and politicians.
I declare that I have a degree in science majoring in earth sciences and also a degree in engineering. The latter which requires the wise use of money to complete the objective within a budget.

Seriously, we have had it all from the next ice age (70's) to frying an egg outdoors today. Still waiting for all the predictions (ice free arctic etc) to happen - Real science tells us what is happening, this has little to warn about current conditions, charlatans on the other hand have plenty to autistic-ally screech about.
Globull warming is nothing but a tax scam, shame some cannot see the truth. Really sad how the lefty sjw's have suckered sane people into believing this crap.
No doubt that will be on a school reading curriculum shortly...

That is a very bad thought.
When I went to school one of the first subjects I was taught was economics. It started with a guy (his name was Chubb), alone on a desert island. He was trading cowrie shells with other islanders to improve his lot. Then concepts of competitive advantage were taught and it progressed from there. There seems to be a huge disconnect with concept of the allocation of scare resources - ie economics.
