Who the should any of us vote for?

I said this on another post and my view hasnt changed TBH...

I saw a meme on Instagram the other day that said something like this;

"If you want a soft Brexit - vote Tory. If you want a hard Brexit - vote Brexit Party. If you want to stop Brexit - vote Lib Dem. If you want to live in a Marxist dystopia - vote Labour."

Jokes (but not really) aside its a pretty poor choice for shooting people. Labour and Lib Dem want to ban private gun ownership and field sports, the Tories have enacted every major gun ban of the last 30 years and are trying to ban trophy imports... Farage has come out in favour of fieldsports and even of lifting the pistol ban but I fear a vote for him will split the centre-right vote and we'll end up with Commy Corbyn by default.

For me its one last vote for the Tories. And thats not because I like them, I dont. I just like the others even less and I dont want to risk the absolute screaming buffoons who make up the Labour front bench getting their mitts on power so I cant vote Brexit Party. And the UK Libertarian Party arent fielding any candidates as far as I know, besides which they're a grassroots movement at best at the present.

Thats why I wont be voting ,iam not to be trusted to have a view and a free will ,this must be true as I voted out last time ??

I agree with your sentiment Paul, tho’ not to vote is a shame as it’s our right to vote and in the past, people did die so we could have ‘our say’.
However, our right is also to withhold our vote.

Well

Gotten to the point I’m sick tired and totally pi55ed off with the whole lot of em

None of them can be trusted
None of them seem to do anything the should be doing
Most of them have their narcissistic noses in the trough
We are a laughing stock
I’d laugh but probably just cry wondering what sh1t pile I’m leaving to handover to my kids

Even if you vote you don’t change anything
Nothing changes

If it’s vote for the least useless bar steward or not at all I’ll return a slip paper with words none of them fit for purpose written on it

Paul

While I don't feel your wrong in any way , and I know many have fallen to let us vote ! but I feel its a paradox that our vote was't acted on when the voting was clear ?

Trouble is on their track record the party that HAS done the most damage to shooting is...the Tory Party.

And before anyone says Labour would have been worse remember this:

It was in 1988 a Labour MP, Robin Corbett, who in Committee told Douglas Hogg his ban would go no further unless compensation was offered.

It was also in 1996 Blair who by converting the Tory's de facto .22 Rimfire ban into a de jure ban that ensured comprehensive compensation for everything.

History has repeatedly shown that the Tories can't be trusted on shooting!
Let’s face it, can they be trusted with anything? Ask anyone who visits a hospital these days. A primary reason for me to hope they will be toast.

Well I know who NOT to vote for, if you want to keep your FAC and Shotgun Certs. And that is LABOUR and LIB DEMS. I will think about voting for The BREXIT PARTY as they are for shooting and Rural sports, but if I fear them not getting many votes I will then vote TORY, as I have a better chance of keeping my Firearms with the Brexit or Tory Party. I hear that Old Nick's too scared and he won't let you in. Think we're stuck with you for a good while yet, my friend. :tiphat:

You've been talking to that tree house dweller again haven't you?
If he and I get going the Earl of Hell will have no place to hide, we'll soon have him by the tail.
Very kind of you but I'm quite happy and ready to go any time the big man calls.:coat:

Just want to say that I've checked the Lib Dem manifesto and there is not one word in it about guns or firearms. The only mention fieldsports is this:

"legislate to ban the importing of hunting trophies where the hunting does not contribute to environmental protection."

Given that property conducted hunting meets that condition and demonstrably so (although I'm mindful that they haven't stated how this would be assessed), I can live with that.

Basically, it's not on their radar.

Let’s hope you can trust them, most ripe up the manifesto as soon as they are in number ten.
Currently they are all offering whatever they think will win the key to the door.

Trust them? Sorry but none of them are worthy of trust.....as I said the Lib Dems & Labour are prepared to overturn a democratic vote taken in 2016, how can you trust them?
They & others like them do not believe in democracy......simples.
