Slings - Z Aim or Niggeloh backpack sling

I've got both and love both but out the two the z aim has it love it for sturdyness keeps rifle snug on back the nigeloh looks a better sling thou but found if wearing it as a rucksack the rifle still flops about on your back!
Tend to use the nigeloh sling on my extreme semi auto shotgun while out fowling these days

This. Niggy felt like ai was carrying a heavy haddock the way it flopped about. Z aim isnt as prone to this

That's what the strap and Velcro is for at the bottom of the sling it goes around the grip it holds the rifle flat against your back and stops it swinging all over,regards wayne

Only it doesnt work as well as the Z aim....

Z-Aim is the best sling on the market for design but the worst for material quality! However, I would have another.

The big problem with both types is when you have to carry a backpack at the same time as the rifle & also binoculars. The straps all get messy & tie you up.
I have a Z-Aim & for when I'm not using a pack, it's fine & a very secure means of hands free support.
For use with a back pack, the Kifaru Gunbearer concept is excellent.

I have both Z-aim and Ruck sling. Where the sling is attached to the bottom of the stock I find the Z-aim is better as the rifle is held in a more conventional position and doesn’t flip flop from side to side. If the sling can be mounted on the left side of the rifle foreend and stock then the ruck sling becomes much better as the flat side of the rifle is held flat against the back in a very comfortable and stable position that stops the rifle flopping from side to side

Exactly the same thoughts too. I have both, the niggeloh has not been used for years because of the rifle flopping about. Z-aim carries rifle better but the quality of the webbing is not great. It will probably last long enough for the recreational shooter but I would question how long it would last if used every day in the jungle. The other negative of the webbing being thin and light is that the ends blow about and can make a noise when they hit the sticks

Have both. Prefer the Z-aim as I find it holds the heavy rifle, bipod and moderator more securely. The Nigeloh is made out of better materials but still the Z-aim for me.

I haven't tried the Niggeloh backpack sling, however I
definitely agree that the 3HGR Lite is a lot better than the Z-aim :

I have never seen one these slings but from the video am I right to understand that you have to put the sling over your head to get the rifle one and off? If so then it’s not one I would want to use as that’s not easy to do in a hurry while still avoiding big movements that spook deer. I can imagine it’s ok for the hill but a lot of my stalking involves the need for quick and discreet deployment ready to take the shot.

That is admittedly how most of the videos show it.
However I generally 'wear' as as conventional sling, then put the detachable strap over my other shoulder. This gives the stability of the rifle being secure, distribution of weight, plus ease of deployment.
The Lite version can be used muzzle up or down.
