It won’t be as long as yours, mine is only 9”, l only use it for my revolvers.

I'm told it's the calibre that's important not the length.

Hot water fairy liquid soak it for couple of hours then rinse them out and dry them probably do my shotgun one 3 times a year rifle ones less so

Thanks for all your helpful comments. My old snake is now so grubby after years of fairly harsh reaming of some grubby barrels, it’s tired and long overdue a clean. I feel an immersion in a hot mild soap solution will be the appropriate action.
