Diving down south and arrived at the site of a wreck in Cornwall only to find a boat full of anglers already on the scene. They were kind enough to reel in for 45 minutes whilst we dicked about doing our best Jacque Cousteau impressions. That wreck was absolutely rammed with fish and big ones.
At one stage I looked down through a floor plate of the wreck and came face-to-face with a Conger Eel whose head was the size of a Shire horse.

Discovered an interesting nautical fact that day. You can actually hear yourself scream at 40m underwater...

Stalker, I did exactly the same whilst diving the SS Maine off South Devon, the thing was huge!.........You could smell the Adrenalin when I took my dry suit off!

Conger tend to leave you alone as long as you keep a distance, some moray on the other hand are just plain nasty and come out for a fight.

Just disappeared down by our little river on the Estate and watched winged game, about a dozen hares all trying their luck and Egrets and Kingfishers.
Closed my eyes and napped for a while and the Mrs read her book. Heaven

I find it hard to question the mentality of those visiting beaches when there's around 15,000 visitors flying into the capital every day with zero restrictions in place.

Ignoring social distancing.
Clogging up roads.
Parking on double yellows.
Parking in Emergency Services parking bays.
Abandoning vehicles wherever they could park, including farm tracks and drives.
Being abusive to the Police.
Being abusive to local people who are just trying to make a living.
Urinating and defacating in people’s gardens, including females.

Just to mention a few issues.

I certainly question their mentality, traveling for 3 hours to a location where everything is shut, including public toilets. Is that the behaviour of a rational, remotely sensible, educated adult?

Sorry, forgot to mention. I genuinely don’t care what happens in London, maybe a strange mentality, but that’s the way it is. But at least I cause them no inconvenience.

Regardless of where the passengers land without restrictions it is entirely likely to affect everyone including those in your region.

Yes, it does seem ridiculous, but I still question the mentality of people traveling to the sea during this time.

If it was a big conger and the anglers had caught it, landed it for the obligatory photo and then chucked it back, it would probably be a dead conger before it hit the bottom.
There used to be/probably still is an annual conger competition among the angling boats at Weymouth. After the comp local divers reported masses of big eels lying dead on the seabed around every wreck fished. Apparently the internal organs of big eels get fatally damaged when they're hauled over the side with no water around them to support their weight.
If you're not going to keep them, don't catch them.

As do I. Stuck in my home thinking I am doing the right thing and listening to the advice of our government when in fact, they seem to care less and less each day. Containing the hordes flocking to the beach is hard to achieve, stopping the flights isn't. I'm sickened by the apparent lack of consistency and yes, of the mentality of the public who don't seem to care.
