Recently purchased a unit and remote. Good bit of kit but it’s flooded with US sounds.

Any advice on what people have had good luck calling in with? It’s a bit of a minefield on the upload page

TIA

depends really, on my free range chicken farm it's the screaming chicken that wins the day hands down, the further I go from the chickens I get better success with hare distress and squeaks but I will try anything if they don't work sometimes something random, regards wayne

Pheasant distress, rat distress, rabbit scream are the ones I use most but sometimes anything will rouse their curiosity, on other occasions nothing interests them at all. With calling success or failure is governed by things we know nothing about!

One word of advice, if you are using a caller with multiple calls, many of the American, never use a coyote call as we did one night by mistake. The fox was only about ten yards from the caller and when the call rang out the fox cleared the valley we were in and disappeared, still running at least half a mile away.

Thanks for this! Will be sure to keep away from the Coyote ones. Do they have any for UK deer on there?

Got a Vixen during daylight with Red Fox cub distress she came out twice first time I never seen her till disappeared turned the volume up a tad and out she popped again this time a .223 55gn Sierra BK sleeping pill met its mark, and this was after I had tried , pheasant, hare, and vole squeaks

Beercan call is my routine go to call unless it’s the season for vixen mating calls, which work surprisingly well.

Iv probably shot more coming to cub disstress than anything else.
Me too and it works all year. The trick is dont get hung up on a particular call , if one isn't working just keep changing it. No rule book and it works for me all the time.
