Swarovski Z5 5-25x52 Obj. Scope cover

Good evening guys and girls

I’ve got the above scope mounted on one of my rifles and I’m in search of an objective lens cover. I only have a small amount of clearance under the scope so I’m after either a Swaro one or a similar type (Leupold Alumina etc) to thread onto the end and not cause barrel clearance issues.

is anyone aware of any that may fit or if Swaro even make one? I’ve searched online to no avail so I’m assuming not.

Just thought I’d check with you lot before giving up on the idea. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I need one for mine too, I need to pop into a local swarovski dealer and see if they have any of the old 50mm rubber bino objective covers as spares and see if it fits the 52mm objective of the lens on the z5. On my old 8x56 habitch I used the 56mm bino objective cover perfectly!

Definitely worth a try. Doing a bit of searching has shown there’s also a Leupold Alumina flip cap for a 52mm obj. I’d be keen to know if anyone has tried that on the Z5 and if it’s compatible?

March do good quality sprung loaded plastic lens caps for their scopes. Their compact range includes a 52mm Objective lensed scope. The caps are good quality solid plastic and lock up nicely and open with a reassuring pop.

No idea if they will fit the Z5 but they have a solid fitting boot that could well fit your scope.

On two of my rifles I have Swarovski Z6i scope with only a couple of mm clearance.

I have Swarovsk’s own scope covers fitted with no problem, just have to screw the scope cover on to the end before fitting the scope to the rifle

Hi there

Yeah I also have one of Swarovski’s flip up covers on my 44mm Obj Z5, but for whatever reason they do not make one for the 52mm Z5. I’m trying to find out if anyone knows of another cover that will fit the 52mm Z5. It seems unusual that Swarovski don’t make one
Maybe they’re just not as popular as the other scopes?

I see your problem now.

On a zeiss scope I have, the zeiss lens cover I acquired was slightly too small for the objective lens so packed it out with insulation tape on the threads then screwed it in. Works fine but admittedly not ideal.
