I wouldn’t even give them the high esteem of a sandal??? More like an iffey pair of slippers without the soles. That just about covers it I think.Avoid harkila boots of any type. You may as well go stalking in sandals.
Must admit looks like you have had a poor journey with them, but the 3 lads I know who have them (plus myself) have had zero issues with ours over a few years. Perhaps you got a bad batch / pair?
Are the other brands you are suggesting any better value for money? I see you can pay whatever your willing to for stuff in the shooting market. Value for money spent has to be the aim, not brand snobbery lolPlenty of better boots than Harkila. Altberg, Hanwag, Meindl, there are others. A friend of mine has a pair of Harkilas and they have lasted a year. But the only wear they get is on a shoot one walk one pheasant shoot. There’s some tough going on it, but they only get a dozen outings a year. So they probably have their uses. But aren’t on the top of my Christmas list.

Nope disagree Sir, Haix do some excellent boots and I personally go for the airpower P9 model with goretex lining. The only boot beginning with an H worth considering is Hanwag.
I am just starting out so boots are just one of many things I’m in the market for. With that in mind, I’m trying to spend wisely ...Buy hanwag tatra gtx if you're feeling flush with cash, lows or altberg mil surp if you're skint.
