So now that we have completely left the EU...

We were unable to do the below whilst part of the EU

Theyre done now that we control our own laws

Once VAT has been higher than 5% EU law makes it impossible to reduce it to zero.

Irelands tax law predates the EU so they have an exemption... Wrong
Germany reduced their rate from 19% to 7% not 0%

And the French are trying to ban pulse fishing but cant due to the CFP. So they have banned their own fisherman from doing it, but not other EU nations in French waters

I’d be interested to know people’s views on this article, especially the farmers amongst us.

Typed a long and comprehensive reply buts its gone AWOL. Can’t face typing it again.

It contains a lot of half truths and a fair amount of cobblers. Pretty normal for farmer hating George.

If Monbiot wants to rewild the UK and end intensive agriculture, I'm with him 100%. There's just one small detail he hasn't shared with us yet. He's going to have to get rid of at least 65 million human beings. Where's he going to put them?

Please sir, can I have me dinghy back?? 🤣
Several times when watching TV reports showing the large number of inflatables and outboard motors seized by the border agency I've wondered what's going to happen to them. There's some nice boats there, do they sell them off?
Anyone know of any public auctions selling these seized boats?

One good thing is....
We as a country no longer have to pay into a club an extortionate amount of money, to be given a miniscule proportion of it back under the instructions of an un elected "by us" club committee of how we're allowed to spend it..
Mind you I'm under no illusion that it'll only get distributed out to ministers mates now anyway 🤣

Second good thing in my mind is..
Our government now have to make decisions themselves without hiding behind the skirts of someone else..
Not that they'll give a monkeys ass about that either as they'll just waffle on blagging it while they fill their funds up so when the axe falls they don't need the soup kitchen..

Remainer 'lost all hope' charity fundraiser later in the year, I reckon that'll be yer best bet, go incognito, lol.

And on the downside my European Firearms pass pass is now worthless, small point but relevant to this forum
