Where would this be on the size of pig scale ? Can anyone tell me if it's small, medium, big ?

No. Don't get me wrong, 200kg would be a large specimen for Eurasian boar but that size is obtainable.
IIRC the boss of Saab died in a moose collision.

You won't catch us on that one Lateral, that's obviously a small child's hand.
The test it failed was that it rolled over when you suddenly swerved to avoid said moose.
I remember my Dad being very miffed when he hit a cow in the dark, standard procedure if there were cattle on the road in the dark was to turn off the lights. brake like hell and sound the horn, (the headlights kind of froze them) this thing bent the front of a 30cwt chevy (built like a brick outhouse) went over the roof and landed in the back, when he dropped the tailgate to see how it was it stood up, shook itself and jumped out and wandered off. The problem for my Dad was the radiator was pushed back into the fan and that kind of made it leak a bit!

Nope...
I've know of at least 2 that went off the scale... The scales went to 250kg.
These boar are eastern European strain, they are more hairy than the ones in France and Germany... They are genetically different.
Look at the boar in Turkey.

In UK and Europe bull bars are not very pedestrian friendly. And drivers in modern cars are cocooned by technology, never really have to drive on difficult roads and certainly don’t think they have to drive to conditions. And in the UK don’t really expect to run into big animals on the road.
And in winter instead of insistibg on winter tyres that be think its much to spend huge amounts on salted grit that contains molasses’s to make it stick to the roads. And deer love the salt and molasses. The A9 over dramochter is leathal fore this with large red stags head down licking the salt and molasses.
And the other deadly bit is where you have woodland with boundary fences that break at the roadside.
Of the two I think I would prefer to hit a wild boar - it would go through the radiator, whereas red deer are tall enough that they come through the windscreen. But it will end badly either way.

Mate of mine mine had a Hereford bull come through his windscreen. Luckily he was alone in the car and it came through the passenger side and ended up with its head through the rear window. His mk1 escort was a write off. He only suffered cuts and bruises from flying glass and the seat belt. Bull died.

Bull died in the collision. It was a blue and white Mexico. Were not as rare 35 yrs ago as they are now. Be worth a bomb today. Brother inlaw has a MK11 RS2000. Reckons it's worth £35K.

I was offered a mk2 stolen recovered. Missing a wing, bonnet and headlight. I wish I had bought it now. Old fella had it low mileage garaged etc etc. Fifty quid, fifty blooming quid it was worth more than that to break it. I still kick myself for that moment of wisdom
