A field report from Jackson Hole, WY.

[A Guy Out West]

Howdy from one of the most beautiful places on the planet. My 3 oldest boys and I are on Antelope safari now. Arrived Monday, my 14 year old got one with his .243, 90 gr. Accubond. Brilliant bullet performance! Missed some opportunities on Tuesday. My 18 year old got one today with his 7/08 (Muir’s suggested load of 44 gr. Varget behind a 120 gr. Sierra SP. Saw a Grizzly today , about 125 yards from us in our hunting area. It was a non event, other than making us get in the car and get the hell out of there. The 20 year old is up to bat tomorrow, hopefully the old man will get a chance too before we head home on Saturday. Picture do not do this place justice. Attached are some for your viewing pleasure. The Grizzly is in the picture of the sage brush with the 3 aspen trees, he had his head down just as I took the picture.

I’m so envious of the space you have. I live on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and I’m very, very lucky but we have no wilderness to speak of in the UK. Yes, we have some beautiful scenery but nowhere truly wild. Thanks for the pictures.

Yes, the Tetons in the back ground. You would be in heaven here, so many beautiful waters to lite a fly on. We hope to get on the fishing this afternoon or tomorrow, our focus is on the hunting, but we are all itching to get on the river.

Our space is your space too! You could do this same hunt for the added price of a plane ticket and vehicle rental.

I do believe you but it is a different view that is shared by some other locals. Yes there is wild and there is wilderness.
