It has been a turbulent time for guntrader, with ripples that have affected many individuals and parts of our industry and once again I apologise to those of you who have experienced worry about or disruption to your business due to the theft of our private users database back in July.

You will be aware that data theft and other kinds of digital crime is becoming increasingly commonplace, and despite our best efforts, hackers penetrated our security. That problem was fixef immediatelyand following the engagement of a digital security contractor I am confident that our service is, and will remain in future, wholly secure. I believe we now have the right people in place and the right plans underway, to ensure that www.guntrader.ukcan deliver even more value and support to your businesses in the future.

As a result of these events guntrader.uk ltd, has ceased trading and a new company, Guntrader Media Ltd is now the owner and manager of these services, and all future communications will be issued from this company. The services you receive via www.guntrader.uk and the register software are NOT affected by this change.

I would like to mention the many people who contacted me, expressing their support and understanding over the last three months. Their words have provided great encouragement to me and to the team here. Thank you to you all.

Seems they feared the claims would start rolling in then....
Shelve the company and start another, looks like gun trader really had our backs then huh?

Ironically the lawyers are using the information available under the GDPR breach to contact people and offer to sue guntrader because people now have their details.

It apprear that this "new" company has access to the data I used to log on to the original Guntrader, is that not mis-use of data in itself?.

The websote looks exactly the same and It certainly suggests that the new Guntrader Media is simply a device to try to avoid legal responsibilities.

I think we need to start vigorously prosecuting the victims of crime. It would be sure to encourage people to stop becoming victims. The smart way to solve crime!
