A Barbour solway zipper, circa 1954, still with belt and hood. Used by an old long dead friend (before he died). Lost for five years under a caravan in Annan, found when caravan was moved. Re-waxed and re-zippered by Barbour not used much since.

I do t use anything weekly as in every week . Something I use to this day but far from weekly is an original ugly stick spinning rod and ultra light one . Must be 40 years now had massive pike on the little thing , perch, trout various saltwater fish on it. Must have abovec30 rods of all kinds but this is the oldest item I still use

A aya yeoman i bought new in the mid 80s its had a couple of firing pins and 3 replacement hinge pins
An olt reed type fox call similar vintage , a mauser multi blade pocket knife again early mid 80s
Pair of wax barbour leggings with more patches than orig material

An Inox multi-tool knife my father bought for me in the 1970s whilst on a business trip to Germany. All the usual tools of the period, big blade, small blade, scissors, bottle opener(with a flat head screw driver at the end), can opener, corkscrew and the pointy thing for removing stones from horses' hooves. Never used that last one for it's intended purpose, mostly used for making holes in belts.

Remmy 700 BDL in Triple Deuce - God’s own calibre. Mine for best part of 25 years and previously “loved” by others from 1972 and who could blame them?
Now furnished in a Boyd’s Thumbhole stock and a replacement trigger (10 years ago) and has had many thousands of homeloads through it, starting to show a bit of wear (just like its current owner) but totally dependable (unlike its current owner).
If only I could get Mrs FB to let go of it………

A kudu skin shotgun cartridge belt that I bought in Harare in 1988. Used whenever out duck shooting or rough shooting.

Leather bush hat bought at the Scottish Game Fair in 1999.

Zeiss 7x42 BGAT* binoculars Mrs Heym bought for me as a wedding present on our honeymoon end of last century.

Our Folkboat was built in 1948.

And I use a Ross stalking scope - I have only had it for a few years but heaven knows when it was made. Still fantastic to use.

Yesterday I used my late Grandfather's Swaine-Adeney shooting stick.
Not sure of its age, but they were Swaine-Adeney-Brigg by the early 1950's, if not before.

So I was musing this morning, avoiding doing extremely boring ‘work’.

I am wearing a pair of heavy wool socks bought in July 1998. Still wear them often. They were part of a pack of 3 pairs. There have been two casualties over the years - one fell apart, one lost, but the remaining 4 get worn weekly.

So - what’s the oldest bit of kit you own THAT YOU ACTUALLY USE on a weekly basis.

Not fancy heirloom shotguns or bespoke knives that get brought out once a year, but hard use kit that just seems to keep going...

In the spirit of friendship are they not illegal now?
