For Sale: PULSAR DIGEX C50 - FULL COLOUR HD - IN STOCK !!

Can you change how fast it zooms the PiP - seems like a lot of rotations of tge dial to get there ? Thinking about the wear n tear on that rotation dial.
As with all Pulsar products you just press the + button to increase in magnification steps so 3.5x to 7.5x to 15x on the C50 . You can also manually adjust the base magnification or PIP magnification in 0.1 increments from a single press on the + button followed by adjusting the encoder turret dial on the side..

Mine is mounted and zero’d on the .223 and .308 barrels. Daytime image just about good enough to make out .308 holes in the splatter burst targets I used to zero when zoomed in to x14 at 100 yards. .223 holes harder to make out so I had to use the binos. I would say daytime rabbit head shots at 100-150 perfectly achievable probably more in dryer conditions. PIP option makes things surprisingly precise for digital and 0.5” groups achieved at 100. The previous is something I have struggled with when using the old Digex or my Pard due to pixelisation.

I have tried the NV option only briefly but managed a good image at 150 yards (limit of the location rather than the kit). No white out issues and I reckon the standard IR has more to give. I will hold off speculation on Max range though for drier conditions and more space.

If I am allowed out shooting during the next week I will take it out for deer and stay out for foxes/boar conditions and wildlife allowing.

Not much.
RRP for a new C50 without IR is £1100
RRP for a new Digex N450 with IR is £1300
Nobody in their right mind is going to buy a new Digex N450 when there is a cheaper scope available that works both day and night
Think of it this way - how much were black and white TVs worth when a new colour TV could be bought for less than the the price of the black and white model when it was new.

Cheers

Whilst I agree with your response, I'm keen to know what one is worth second hand hence my question. It has paid for itself many times over and has been a fantastic piece of kit, I just fancy an upgrade.

May have missed it but when is your next delivery?
January at some point... I don't take physical deposits, just note the details on the system. So anyone wanting one, please forward name, address, number/email, they will be supplied in order of date, I will contact when available, if no longer required that's no issue, I just remove and supply the next person..

Two videos the first you need to skip to the 2 min mark because editing it corrupts the file for some reason…

No idea if the above will work ok but this is tonight in damp conditions with rabbits between 60 and 220 yards. The video is wobbly because it’s the scope off the rifle being hand held. The video starts off with the standard IR on minimum before I crank it up to the max. The rabbit against the hedge above the fence posts is at 220 yards. The ones in the open field are 60 to 120 ish. Through the scope I would say the 220 yard rabbit was clearer and I would say shootable if there had been a backstop. I don’t think the standard IR would be much good beyond this range on rabbits. Larger stuff in clearer/dryer conditions maybe.

It’ll be very interesting if the C50 is perceived to be better in the real world field compared with the Wulf (real world, not specs).

Without a VCSEL IR 99% of 4K units are not great at night, there not true night vision in a sense, yes they do look great when you throw a lot of IR at them .. Without VCSEL or Laser 4K there dead in the water at night, in terms of viewing distance and image lag, but everyone is hooked on VCSEL now so they get by..

Speaking on the C50, I'd like to see a unit better built than one, also that has the software, speed and functions as good... most are just not polished like these, they fall short.

That’s fair comment.
However as I don’t bang my rifles about I’m not too worried about supreme build quality.
It’s just got to do what it’s meant to.
So assuming both have an aftermarket ir used, is the C50 that much better than the Wulf?
That’s what I’m asking.
