After dithering for a few years on the Vorns I took my stalking rifle to a local dealers and tried it in the LT12 and EV30. It fit in nicely in both with its 56mm optics. I came away with the 30 litre bag rather than the 12, which seemed a bit small for my needs.
I really like the layout of the EV30, access to the top and main compartments from the right and the net bottle (or other stuff) holder on the left. Excellent range of adjustment of straps and belt, I’m planning to attach my Vortex Glasspack to the shoulder straps. Rifle pocket is deep and well sprung and carries the rifle very securely. No problem with my B14 with either HMR or BMP stock.
I’ve got a degree of arthritis in both shoulders but find the mechanism manageable. It’s straightforward to put the rifle back in with the pack slung from the right shoulder if you get the heel and toe well into the base of the pocket to start with.
Quality of materials and construction is impressive and time will tell as far as durability is concerned.
Price is high but at least I’m not dithering any more and I’ve cried once now so the pain is over
