3hgr light harness

Had one, couldn’t get on with it, sold it on a long time ago. Subsequently purchased a “Sako” 3HGR sling for my S20 which I do like :thumb:

What did you not like about it , I'm thinking of getting one for a tikka

Anyone use these , pros and cons
I use them, great slings, miles better the the Z-Aim slings that are unfathomably popular.
They spread the weight of the rifle across your shoulders and stop it slipping off.
They also work well for muzzle up or down carry.

Yeah I like the look off them and nothing flapping about like the saftey gun strap when you take it off, does it go under armpit cheers

Id be carrying it on my shoulder like normal not across the back cant see any options for this, would shoulder carry work, sorry for all the questions but need to make an informed choice 🖕🖕

Yes, that also works, strap around your back, under your other arm and back across your chest.

I use them on 2 different rifles. Work really well, far better than a previous z-aim. I most often use it in the ‘rucsac’ configuration as it distributes the weight more evenly as I cover a fair distance on foot, particularly when foxing. This method also doesn’t foul the straps on my bino harnesses.

Bought one recently and will be out for first field test tomorrow morning. As Manuka said they are OK but not great. Elasticated bit on cross belt destroying whole purpose of it.
Let me know how you get on what configurations work well etc , I've just ordered one lol

Do you carry over shoulder or across the back

Do you carry over shoulder or across the back
If I’m regularly going to be putting the rifle on and off the sticks then I generally carry over the shoulder with the other strap under my armpit and across the chest. If I’m covering ground to get to a specific point to set up and wait I’ll carry in the rucsac fashion. I’ve not found the across the back method particularly easy to use - there’s always a magazine or trigger guard digging into my back.

Pretty much the same as myself, thats how I see me using it cheers 🤙🤙

Basically I moved the secondary strap from top swivel loop to the bottom one and it holds the rifle much firmly. I carry rifle with the muzzle up
