Anyone use these , pros and cons
What did you not like about it , I'm thinking of getting one for a tikkaHad one, couldn’t get on with it, sold it on a long time ago. Subsequently purchased a “Sako” 3HGR sling for my S20 which I do like

Using a zenith 3-12 on my 308 with tier one rings and it's perfect.. my only complaint is that my mod is too heavy for the end (sl7i) so need to invest in a lightweight yin. F&D - you won’t regret it. I have the FW196 but are soooo tempted by the FW149 :norty:www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk
I use them, great slings, miles better the the Z-Aim slings that are unfathomably popular.Anyone use these , pros and cons
Yeah I like the look off them and nothing flapping about like the saftey gun strap when you take it off, does it go under armpit cheersI use them, great slings, miles better the the Z-Aim slings that are unfathomably popular.
They spread the weight of the rifle across your shoulders and stop it slipping off.
They also work well for muzzle up or down carry.
Yes, that also works, strap around your back, under your other arm and back across your chest.Id be carrying it on my shoulder like normal not across the back cant see any options for this, would shoulder carry work, sorry for all the questions but need to make an informed choice![]()
Thanks mate you sealed the deal with that informationYes, that also works, strap around your back, under your other arm and back across your chest.
Let me know how you get on what configurations work well etc , I've just ordered one lolBought one recently and will be out for first field test tomorrow morning. As Manuka said they are OK but not great. Elasticated bit on cross belt destroying whole purpose of it.
Do you carry over shoulder or across the backI use them on 2 different rifles. Work really well, far better than a previous z-aim. I most often use it in the ‘rucsac’ configuration as it distributes the weight more evenly as I cover a fair distance on foot, particularly when foxing. This method also doesn’t foul the straps on my bino harnesses.
No problem, tomorrow I will share my experience and send you photos of one modification I made immediately after it's been fitted on the rifle for first timeLet me know how you get on what configurations work well etc , I've just ordered one lol
If I’m regularly going to be putting the rifle on and off the sticks then I generally carry over the shoulder with the other strap under my armpit and across the chest. If I’m covering ground to get to a specific point to set up and wait I’ll carry in the rucsac fashion. I’ve not found the across the back method particularly easy to use - there’s always a magazine or trigger guard digging into my back.Do you carry over shoulder or across the back
Thanks id appreciate that , love an aul modNo problem, tomorrow I will share my experience and send you photos of one modification I made immediately after it's been fitted on the rifle for first time
Pretty much the same as myself, thats how I see me using it cheersIf I’m regularly going to be putting the rifle on and off the sticks then I generally carry over the shoulder with the other strap under my armpit and across the chest. Hi Mate, well I can say I am pretty happy with this sling. Is it the best? Probably not but works 100% for me. If wasn't that elasticated bit I'll give it 10 out of 10. Will try to upload photo. Thanks id appreciate that , love an aul mod
