CZ ergo

I ordered a CZ600 ergo for delivery to NZ prior to finding out about their re-call and subsequent flip flop on the user exchangeable barrels.

Cancelled my order after finding out. The switch Barrel was the main attraction for me, for use as a mountain rifle for himalayan tahr and chamois and switch to a shorter barrel for bush stags, pigs and goats.

Interested to see what people's opinions are.

Killwells have them in, but the 308 is 1-7, I was looking at a 223 for goats, not worried about switching barrel as I have enough other guns.🤪

Is it just me or do the newer CZ rifles really look a little awkward? I find the fore ends to be extraordinarily long. Also on some of their RF models. I suppose this could become a problem with over-barrel mods and short barrels.

Thank goodness there isn't anything for me in the latest crop of rifles. It seems that no matter which manufacturer produces it each new piece of whimsy looks just like the rest of the herd. The standard CZ600 barrel length is now 20"/50cm threaded (apart from the Creedmoor) so the forearms appear much longer than before. Maybe just one of those optical illusions.
