I’m member of Capreolus club. Cannot compare to many, but would like having more outings on weekends. Peter works only during the week. Guide usually manage to find deer, but often either difficult to shoot because in the bush or not a safe shot
Don’t know if I can get anything better though I looked around and didn’t - I’m in Wiltshire near M4. So, will continue going out

How many days do you to stalk and the cost of Capreolus club per year.
Would you not better asking Sikamalc or Sussex steve about alternative to the club Both are great guy's and will help anyone.

Do they not also offer the non guided part of the club as well?

So you pay thousands to be a member yet can’t stalk on weekends? Sounds great…

There is Plus membership in Cparileos Club that currently costs £ 2,706 annually and is unaccompanied. It also allows hunting other game plus a bit extra land.
I still will say that I do not know any other club that allows hunting in my area where I can hire a gun, so please let me know if there is something better - so far I saw deer in every stalk, though not always legal to shoot...

I’m sure you could get a lot of paid stalks with an estate rifle for that sum. Also gain valuable experience with recommended guides in different areas offering maybe, new species not available to you locally.

Their pigeon shooting is good value £395.00 + £3.00 per shot. (eg. £1,000.00 buys 200 shots & hopefully 200 shot pigeons!) more details here!

You forgot to mention that 20% VAT is added on top of that 😳

“Blue grouse” 🤣 that’s worth a few quid in itself.

Still expensive but must include gun hire and supply of cartridges.

If you want a guided stalk and use estate rifle, then you should get a cheaper membership which is annual membership subscription for £1,500 (inc. vat), each guided stalk with member discount is £186, one off discounted joining fee (don't remember), then around £30 for estate rifle and trophy costs (around £3 per kilo of meat and extra per species). The membership also includes PDS1 and hygiene training. Plus Membership assumes you have your own gun, can go out as often as you want, faster booking and you keep the carcass free of charge

You would definitely save yourself a considerable amount of coin by paying for outings elsewhere. £1500 joining fee and an additional £186 a stalk, that's daylight robbery. If you did 1 stalk a year due to work/family that stalk would be costing you nearly £1700...
