What two way radios would you guys recommend for use on the hill where there is no mobile phone reception?

Need to work up to mile and behind hills!

Appreciate you need a licence.

Hi Nick, I’ve never owned kit like this but I’ve used MOTOROLA stuff before and it’s pretty good and rugged.

The Motorola ones that Scottish Communication Services in Perth supply aren't too bad, but are expensive.

Don't bother with PMR licence free stuff!

Get yourself a set of Motorola GP320/340 etc - I used to have a set that I used with the picking up team & could always contact them at distances the keeper & beating team using PMR sets could only dream of

Motorola GP300/340 used to be the best; he will now supply you with Entel fully submersible sets....expect to pay 200+ per set
