Looks like Pulsar is releasing a design of thermal similar in shape to Hik Falcon FQ50 but better specs with a ranger finder...

The Telos XP50LRF

My guess will be slight improvement on the Helion XP50 Pro model internals and lens with a range finder added?

No information available, just seen this snap and that's all there is.

I would say, dependant on price, this will smash all monocular competition. I'm certainly in.

Yes please.

As I say, no information available whatsoever on price or release date. However it looks to compete against the Falcon by HIk but better spec and a rangefinder. My guess and purely a guess is retail will be around £2.8k, being cheaper than the Helion pro model and more expensive than the Falcon FQ50. As its called an XP50, then it seems to me it should be of similar spec to the Helion pro but a few extras that make it better, running on 17um still.. in my mind it will have to be priced competitively due to competition now.
Dari below has found the spec list.

Pulsar released a snapshot and this is it, via their FB page. Also showing pro versions of the Talions/Axions and a XG50 mk2 of the Krypton add on.

Here is a brief announcement from Pulsar.
All this new models will probably be on IWA23.
Big question is, when will they actually be available in stores. And of course, what will be the prices.

This will be the one to own, for people looking for the best monocular on the market.

Ambidextrous design, slick electronic zoom function, the best LRF system and TRUE 18mk NetD sensitivity...

Just to re-iterate this point.. There is a reason Pulsar have not adopted 12 micron in 50mm lens format for spotting, and after using this option in many devices, I can totally understand why 12 micron 50mm, the reduction in field of view, combined with other products wide dynamic range software makes spotting, pickup up under 50 yds not pleasant at all....

The TELOS will be fully upgradeable into the future allowing you to upgrade sensor and lens system, as performance improves..... This includes additional optical channels.

Best allround for spotting are the below options..

50mm 17 micron
35mm 12 micron

Unless purely for long range use only...

The Telos will feature a hand strap that can be swapped for left or right handed users, as well as a new redesigned battery pack and GUI software.

Is the weight of Telos really 1,5kg?
It is written on your shop webpage.
That is a lot and I believe it is a mistake.

Cheers

It certainly looks lively and sleek and the zoom control ring is a nice touch. Will it be positioned below the Helion range or above it? It states it has an "upgrade ready design", but in what sense, the lens, sensor, software?

Yes in the future these can all be upgraded on the device..

Also the menu allows you to select what button controls what function for total user control...

17 micron are far and away more sensitive than ANY 12 micron offerings, this will be another step up again from the existing 25mk which are already better than anything on the market in this respect... Noticeable by animals floating in clouds with zero background detail in above average conditions..

Battery packs can be charged direct from any USB C connected into them without a dock and they also support wireless charging..

Housing is magnesium alloy with tough rubberised coating for additional protection....

I’m hoping that it’s sub £2.5k but the spec suggests it could be above that.

Very interesting concept though in terms of offering flexibility on upgrades.

Watching with interest……

I would think it would be £2.8k to £2.9, pricing under the current Helion 2 pro due to competition pricing but more than the Falcon FQ50 due to rangefinder, 17um etc.

I'm hoping so.. I don't see them pricing it more than the current Helion 2 Pro.. What's the point in it being more expensive if you can get a deal on a Merger for not a crazy amount more 🤷‍♂️. Just my two pennies worth.

Theres no way it's going to be the price you have quoted... For the enhanced performance, ability to upgrade sensor/lens in the future, LRF, etc... Even at the same price as the existing Helion Pro it would be a steal and the Helion Pros are easily the best selling top end monocular on the market...that fly out still...

Strange Pulsar are adding a XQ35 Pro but no XG35 Pro…… Hopefully it will come.
AFAIK, all of the Pro models are 17 micron and have an NETD of <25mk
The XG35 is 12 micron and has an NETD <40mK
So unless they can get the NETD of their 12 micron 640x480 sensor down to the 17 micron <25mK level there will not be a Pro version of any XG models
That might happen, but when ????

Cheers

Bruce

17 Micron is far more sensitive than 12 micron... Hence the reason Pulsar do not post false spec. Thats why they show the 12 micron sensors at there TRUE netD value... <40mk

Surely by now people see the animals floating in clouds with no background detail and realise 12 micron has some benefits for detection range but also drawbacks..... some of the quoted netD for 12 microns are somewhat dubious.... in fact I could state anything , a lot is purely down to software filters and not hardware related..
