Muntjac carcass as raw for dog

Reminds me of a time my mate was running his lab in a open trial, I was helping out game carrying and one of the guns shot a woodcock, anyway judge says to him ok send ur dog, off he goes , straight out …hits the fall hunts for a while and disappeared into some bracken tail in the air waggin away…. come back …..nothing.. he tried him again hits the area .. nothing… judge called him up and asked for the dog on the other side to come and try… me mate walks over to me whilst waiting and says well he won’t find that pal… i says why’s that … he said cos that basterds just ate it 🤣🤣 low and behold it didn’t get picked and the trial went on 🤣🤣

Kibble Is very much still worth feeding especially If the dogs are working dogs, its dense In energy and fats and off course fibre not to mention some minerals and vitamins lacking In venison.
Studies have found dogs on entirely raw diets have been getting heart issues as they actually require grain In there diet now due to domestication (Basically being fed for table scraps too long)
.
Feed your dog raw but dont be afraid to add a bit of kibble time to time you cant really go wrong with it and you'll sure as hell be buying a lot less bags and saving a **** ton, also worth while If your dog gets sick and needs a more simple diet.
.
My parents have three bulldogs a bag Is gone In a week or two and I'm pretty sure its £80 a bag. :scared:Due to the breed I'm pretty positive they wouldn't be able to live off venison too ****ed up for there own good!

I give my Teckel a bit of diaphragm from each carcase, too much venison does not agree with her and neither do most kibbles. She has beef tripe 2 days then a balanced Chicken and tripe mince for 2 days and so on. The only other thing she has is half a good old Bonio every day. Shines like a new pin, muscled up and fit as a flea.

Time you learned to make pate, I reckon!
One Red or sika makes a hell of a lot of liver pate , enough for the average household for a year ! Liver does not freeze very well , so i tend to dry some for dog treats Have a Breakfast or another dish then turn the rest to pate as you suggest .
All fine , until your shooting a fair few and feeding even some better cuts to the dogs

Pate freezes well.
We find that one liver doesn't last long once it's turned into pate. A week or two at most. Faggots are good, too. Especially if you do them properly wrapped in caul fat. You'll easily get through a liver in one or two meals like that.
