Kinetic Hammer Bullet Puller Tip

Just tripped over this tip this morning. If you can’t be bothered watching it and have a kinetic hammer just throw away the annoying rubber-banded collar and substitute it with your reloading press’s case/shell holder. It works a treat and you will not need to buy any more collars - ever!

Also put one of those squashy ear defender plugs in the bottom and it will stop you damaging soft point bullets as they come out.

Honestly Kinetic ones are garbage. I use a fettled wire stripper and the press

I did try this many moons ago when my collet had worn out, it made a real mess of the extractor groove/ rim so if you want to reuse the case go easy with it. Things have improved now and some of the manufacturers include 3 different sized collets now.

ive used an rcbs kinetic hammer for alot of years, and never had a problem with it, ive broken 2 in about nearly 40 years, infact the collet im using must be 30 years old, my shell holders are for use in my press and primer tool, not for banging bullets out of cases, thats what the collets for bs.
