Large rifle primer availability?

I can spare 500 large rifle primers if anybody is really short on those.
They can be CCI BR2 x 500, or a mixture of Rem 9 1/2 and Federal Large Magnum and the CCIs.
Would meet anyone at J19 M62 anytime if you know somebody that passes that way.
£5 per 100.
Ken.

Can you post them !

Paul, You’re a bit late to the finish line, they’re already spoken for. A member sent a PM about 40 minutes ago, otherwise I would have been glad to deliver for free…..but not to someone who can afford to burn powder outside of a chamber.
Ken.
PS. I did think you'd know I was joking when I mentioned free delivery!!!

Difference between those two is, 43000 c.u.p. for Hornet and 52000 for Fireball case. That's a bit more than Triple two pressure.
Ken.
run tests and i am now on cci pistol primers in the 223 rem , pretty good accuraccy no primer signs , shooting ecx 50 grain copper with cfe 223 ball powder. i make no recomendation on it being good in anothers like rifle . rem 6 1/2 small rifle promers however have shown pressure indications on the cups

Muir, out of interest, how close to you are your 'local' gun shops? Our biggest expense is traveling to and from places to buy and places to shoot.
If I have to drive a hundred miles, perhaps, I am going to buy more than 100 primers!
I possibly have enough components to last the rest of my life. 3 years since I shot a deer, but punch a lot of paper, most days in fact.
1 mile or 60 miles. ~Muir

Is there any real information of when we'll see a shipment of primers arriving. I've a feeling I won't be this year, it makes me wonder if what we have in stock is it!

Primers are readily available, just at rationed or stupidly inflated prices on old stock.

Just to clarify, when I said joking about free delivery I meant I was joking when I suggested you could have moved your stuff on if you’d offered free delivery.
Ken.

Mcavoys at Standish have S&B large rifle primers in stock for £67 a brick.
Bought some yesterday. He'll only let you have a max of 1000 though. He also had some Magtec on the shelf but I didn't enquire as to price.

Luckilly I harvested a good qty of large pistol primers some years ago (in the pistol ban era). And most of my reloading is gallery loads, even in full bore calibres.
So I'm good at the mo. Certainly would not use them for full-house loads.

Powder availability/price came as a shock though. I ran just out of my 25yo stock of bullseye, price marked £18 a tub...
