Sorry you had a bad experience with these socks.They are tough , but tend to go hard and thin reasonably soon . Always buy Wool like these though its the best as so long as you dont take wool off when wet they will still insulate well

Look at the most recommended socks on this site: Darn Tough. Crap name, but very good. Also quite expensive. Why are they the most recommended? Well, apart from being very comfortable and foot health friendly, they have a lifetime warranty. If they wear out, you just send them back and get another pair FOC.
