Opinions on Vortex HD LHT range

Has anybody used one ? Have any opinions ??

Spec seems to be everything I'd like but I'm sure they'll be somebody out there with an idea or more. I know that there are similarly priced Swaro, Zeiss, etc but just trying to see pro's and cons really.

TIA

£1250 - £1442 depending on mag and focal plane.

I liked at these at i to was very tempted. But the only thing I didn’t like was it had the old fashioned eyepiece, a bit like the older Leupolds and nightforce nxs, not the fast focus eye piece we have all got used to

Save your money for now and listen to the guys on here with there recommendations , there maybe something else that catches your eye , and if your really lucky someone on here will be able to give you a first hand review.
But either way for the money your willing to spend , I think your find much better glass than the one you mention .

I got one when they first came out and where on offer. The trouble is the price now is the same as a secondhand Swarovski or Schmidt and they are not in the same league.

I have 2, both FFP and Milrad, very useful reticule for precision shooting. Very good glass in low light with excellent contrast and good peripheral clarity, as good as my PM2's in that respect. Only thing that let's it down is the windage turret, the clicks are ok but not as defined as I'd like.

I'm biased as I'm the UK distributor but we're looking at running some low light evenings outside our offices in North Herts in the next few months when it gets darker a bit earlier. Honestly, that seems to be the best way to see what you think of them to your eye.

We're still working on dates but feel free to drop me an email chris@cswmail.co.uk, I can keep you up to date what we're doing.

I think that’s a brilliant idea, would be great to view the whole range when it counts

Well otherwise I only show people our range in either a bright field or in a LED light hall.

This way people can see the range properly.
Great idea. Just wish I lived a little closer, fair play, shows real faith in your products.

Bought one while it was on offer from Optics Warehouse. Got the 4.5 x 22. Wanted something for stalking but would offer me more mag than my old scope.

More than happy tbh. I like the idea of the warranty (been put to the rest by a friend), the weight is less than my old scope but over double the mag. The reticle took some getting used to but happy now with hold over, etc. illumination is good. Low light levels are good enough for me tbh. Keeping the weight down but the rifle manageable were always part of the gun I wanted. Stalking all day certainly doesn’t hurt like I know others sometimes complain about.

If I was being picky the only thing is that the magnification is tight but I guess that’ll loosen up over time.

As I said, more than happy. Never had the funds for a truly top end scope and those that I’ve used through friends chuck a lot of weight up top. Fors and againsts with any scope but for me, it’s more than enough.

Great to hear! It will loosen up with time.

Any issues just shout.

Again. Had to get used to it. My previous scope was 2nd focal but it was an easy switch. Most of my shooting is below 200m anyways.

I’ll happily push out on a range but my ability and my comfort zone is where it is. I stalk, stuff falls over 1st time and that’s good enough for me. In fact, playing around with the FFP actually feels easier now.
