Just leave in a glass of distilled vinegar overnight to force a "Patina" on it (the blade turns black)
No more rust, give an occasional dip now and then.
did my Mora last night with vinegar. wrapped blade in toilet tissue and then soaked tissue with malt vinegar.left in plastic bag for about 6 hours and hey presto, blade was nice shade of dark grey/black. thanks for tip.
Find the mora knives really good - have two for my bushcrafting (carbon steel) and a stainless fluro orange one for dressing game. Best thing to sharpen them at home I've found are the japanese waterstones (Buy Axminster Stone Pond with 3 Waterstones from Axminster, fast delivery for the UK) . Sharp as a razor, in the field I use fallkniven diamond/ceramic block things. I've also got an 8000 grit japanese waterstone for a nice mirror like finish.
