Curiosity got the better of me and I poured a single pub measure into a glass, (comical really, because a single measure barely covers the bottom of the glass).
I tried a sip 'neat'.
Not sure if 'lively' is a proper description for the whisky aficionado, but it certainly warmed my gizzards.
Discretion being the better part of valour, I dropped an ice cube into the remnants of the dram and waited for it to all melt down to room temperature (bathroom temperature actually, but you really don't want the image of me soaking in the tub, in your head do you?).
A powerful, and very flavoursome drop - not one for quenching your raging thirst.
One of my favourite pastimes.... sampling a malt in the tub
