Boots…

Deditos are light and comfortable but I’ve found they don’t last and back to glockners.

Deditos are also better on tracks - quieter to walk on because the sole isn’t as hard.

Well, an update on this and a pat on the back to bushwear - I sent the Crispi boots back, they sent them to the Crispi people in Lockerbie (apparently!?) and they inspected and said that although there was nothing wrong with the size 9 they are a “European 9 and so very snug in the width”…..they also inspected the boots for cleanliness and said they are unworn…so bushwear (give them their due) are giving me a full refund.

On chatting with the guy on the phone, he was saying about other brands and comments on them, he was talking about Mendle’s and how they had an issue with the glue that sticks the sole to the upper and how it was a short term issue that Mendel worked hard to remedy and that since the remedy they hadn’t seen any other issues.

They don’t really stock any other BOA boots which is what I’m looking for so the search continues.

I tried calling the Hillman number but haven’t had an answer three times now so that puts me off them right away!

No Deditos with the boa system so that rules them out for me.

Sitting lacing up or undoing soaking wet dirty laces is a thing of the past with boa’s now.

I like the lower height boots - the higher ones seem to give me aches in my calf…

I did see the Dedito ones…will have another look. 👍🏻
I have been on Dedito about two years now , brilliant boots one of the few about that last ! I am an every day user and all i have done is give them a good coat of neetsfoot oil all over at day one . I live on a high ground farm in Bowland, its very wet and muddy - its not like boots get an easy life here

I dont get what a boa system is but the entire upper section is speed lace and just the shoe section needs a loosen and they have the wheel type loop , super fast and easy on and off

Well…that’s a massive disappointment! The Crispi’s are on their way back to Bushwear, not impressed at all, they are apparently a U.K. 9 but no where near fit me (all my other footwear are a 9!) and because they are work the only thing I can get is a credit note - a bit disappointing as it’s not really possible to tell if shoes/boots are going to cripple you until you wear them.

I also don’t really like the look of any of the boots bushwear stock so I’m now stuck with funds for somewhere I don’t really need to buy anything from.

A whole 17 days of ownership…

My review -

The lace system is not user friendly at all.

The gaiter system is silly as it will try moisture and first between the boot and gaiter and won’t be easy to clean.

The fit is far narrower than a normal boot.

Great looking, and supportive around the ankle but just not for me!

Lesson learned!

Think it's been said on here to upsize them compared to your normal sizing a few times.

Had mine, but with the BOA system for 2.5 years and can't really fault them.BOA system superb, straight out of the box comfort and if i would change anything it would be to make the gaiters a couple of inches longer.
Obviously would need a few years more out of them yet but been a superb boot so far.

Not yet, but while googling I did see these pop up. Are they any good?
I tried a pair on at the local farm suppliers and they are very comfy, like slippers, sort of foot shaped and wide so 👍 I’d maybe question how robust they will be but worth considering

I can't say I have any experience with Treksta.

Another meindl option.
The Meindl Sonnalp are the very ones I am looking at! Can’t seem to find any reviews though as they are pretty new out.

Meindl had an issue for a few months but apparently now all sorted.
