These will be all held at Gardners Guns near Carlisle using the ranges there or at their Eskdalemuir complex

Highly recommend participating, there are many members of the site who help and compete with these comps which are held in a very friendly atmosphere - no egos or b s usually ans lots of people with experience to help anyone who hasn’t been before and wants to try it out

You don’t “need” anything other than a willing countenance, a zeroed rifle and an idea of your ballistic data

That’s some serious travelling. Depending on further operations on my leg I want to try and get up to one this year. Especially as I have a 7mm SAUM and can enter a couple of categories.

Yeah was apprehensive but was worth it. Really good bunch. Lots of knowledge and very laid back. Trying to get a car load this year!

7saum would be perfect. Got a 7mm slot on ticket. How do you find the brass availability?

Almost Non existent. But if you can get hold of ADG brass from the states you are on to a winner. But I would only consider a SAUM if you had to build on a short action.

On a king action the PRC or a 7/300WSM now lapua do brass.

Yeah I thought about one a while ago and couldn't find any brass! Will be rebarreling my 65prc tikka so 7prc seems to be the way to go with Peterson brass. Got another 700 odd rounds to go anyway!

Have you considered the 7PRCW?
6.5 PRC necked up to 7mm, seems to have a good following in the USA and everything is on the shelf...

It has crossed my mind a few times! Mainly due to being able to use lapua brass which I already use in my 65prc. Only issue is I was hoping to go down the route of a factory option to save the pennies.

Yeah factory tikka with 75gn vmax. Got to nearly 1000 I think. Love my fast twist 243.very capable!!
