The crew isn't the problem. The MOD with its 93 diversity networks and their influence are. And they're riddled with this sort of nonsense - diversity is just the canary in the coal mine, an emblem of the rotten state of the Civil Service staffing. Far too much time and attention is wasted across the entire public sector (and beyond) on total bullsh1t.
To be clear, there's not much wrong with diversity, so long as all the essential details of the job have already been achieved to a high standard and secondarily, minimal cost. Taxpayers' money from the defence budget and staff effort is not being spent on troops and equipment, or training but on an unnecessary frivolity. That is less money available for any of the deficiencies that these same people have created on defence.
That is only a disgrace.
