My old .270 is a Sako (Forester? I know not and care little). I bought it 2nd hand about 20 years ago. I've shot hundreds of deer and a few other things with it over the years and it still does exactly what it's meant to. It's accurate and comfortable to use. Many makes will offer quality and longevity, but between this rifle and the fact that my Sako .22LR is probably nearly as old as me and still the sweetest .22 I have ever handled I'd say you could go a long long way to find a make of rifle likely to last longer.
BTW... Congratulations on choosing the 'correct' calibre
