Reloading powder

Hi Lee.
Try
Kirklees guns 01484 544600
Mirfield guns & ammo at Yorkshire shooting club 01924492458 -------phone line only open club hours.

IMO try to settle on Vihavuori powder (more available) and Hornady v-max bullets (more easily available) -------then buy 2 years supply ------both these's place's will be within 12 miles of you.

Two of us here in Dewsbury have developed loads with nosler bullets ------that we now cannot get so were have to re develop a new load with what is available ie Hornady.

A helpful post in comparison to some others! Well done Dave. 👍🏻

Thanks mate.

The shop at the Yorkshire shooting club really tries to keep some stock in ------i suppose a shooting club is no good without bullet to shoot, o and the 2 years supply came from them

Although I suggest if people want specific powders and aren’t planning to be there 8am Saturday that they purchase them for collection!!

The feeding frenzy last year was mental!
We sold out of most powders by Saturday PM!!

Is there not a limit to the quantity of explosive, powder, primers (NEQ) you can legally take to a show?

Yes
Regulation 7(2)d allows 100kg powders (suitably stored) at any one time for events, fairs, re-enactments etc
We had top up deliveries from our Cheshire branch on the Sunday!!

Does that cover shows, as that is temporary storage at place of use.

Does use cover selling them? guess that depends on the HSE definition of use 😊 then at 100kg do separation distances then apply.

quick question regarding recent powder prices, it it the suppliers putting the prices up or the shops just inflating the price of there current stock,
i paid £44 for a tub or RL-10 last week, now some shops are anting £70-£80, pretty much makes reloading pointless at them prices, and id not let them take the **** in that way,

You said in your first post that you bought the last tub the shop had at £44. Now that shop probably has to borrow to restock at the current prices.
